My art is a vehicle through which I am constantly searching for the means to capture the powerful yet tender emotions akin to the human experience. I explore relationships through the juxtaposition of various textures to express a range of sentiments. Color is used to shape and define in conjunction with light and shadow. My objective is to capture an effect which will provoke discussion relative to how we all relate and connect in a multicultural society. As an artist, I am excited by the constant challenge to grow and stretch in terms of technique, presentation and all the other intricacies that allow the viewer to engage with my paintings. This gives me a wonderful sense of satisfaction.
